About us

Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) is a leading provider of online emergency medical training in South Africa. Their mission is to make high-quality, on-demand education accessible to healthcare professionals across the country. PHEC offers a diverse range of courses, including: - Emergency Communication with the Hearing Impaired: This innovative course equips healthcare providers with basic sign language skills to effectively interact with deaf patients during emergencies. - Basic Scorpion Identification and First Aid: Designed to educate on identifying various scorpion species and administering appropriate first aid in case of stings. - CPG Transition Courses: Aligning with the latest Clinical Practice Guidelines released by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), these courses ensure practitioners stay updated with current protocols. PHEC's platform is designed for flexibility, allowing learners to study at their own pace through a combination of video, image, and text-based materials. Upon successful completion of a course, participants can download and print their certificates, with some courses offering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation. Additionally, PHEC provides in-class training options, such as First Aid, Stop the Bleed, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support courses, catering to various learning preferences. By continually updating their curriculum and employing industry experts as instructors, PHEC ensures that healthcare providers receive relevant and practical training, ultimately enhancing emergency medical services throughout South Africa.
